Intergenerational Photography Project & Exhibition - Earliest Memories Through a Pinhole Camera

Click the link you guys!

Our exhibition opens on Thursday and I’m really excited for it. After the 5 months of on-and-off hard work, it has all come together. I wrote about the theme of the exhibition here so go read it!

Day 74 | Tuesday, March 15th, 2011 At the photography course today I had my camera out takin’ snaps and someone decided to get a photo of a group of us and I had forgotten about it and just found it there a minute ago and it is beautiful. I was showing him how to work the zoom on the camera and he evidently snapped me as I used my hands to explain. Whatever, still looking fab. Great day - made loads for the hospice. Love Dolores so much.

As I’ve said, I’m unbelievably excited for this thing. It will be the first time we all get to see the final prints of our photographs framed and on a wall. I’m really excited to see what people think of the exhibition as well. I put a lot of work into getting that one photo even if it doesn’t look like it. It’ll be nice to get feedback from people who don’t know the process we went through to get the photographs drafted, taken, developed and printed. As the song goes, we so excited.

The opening is next Thursday at 7 o’clock but I have yet to receive invitations to give to my friends and family. Fear not through, I’m sure that anyone who wants to come on the opening night will be allowed in.

The exhibiton is running from Thursday April 7th til May 28th so there is plenty of time for all of you readers to make your way down to Blanchardstown and take a peek.

Oh the anticipation!
