Project 365 here 365Pieces
Last Wednesday our year went to the Causey Farm in Meath. It’s a proper farm but the people who run it have made a clever choice by making it somewhat of a tourist attraction. I think that Transition Years have been going to it for a good few years now and they always enjoyed it but I was kind of apprehensive.
I mean it is literally a farm. With a bog nearby. It doesn’t sound all that special. We were also told that we would (and they said this like it was something to really look forward to) be making brown bread. Good times.
But the bus journey down really put me in a good mood and made me excited for the trip. More for the banter that would be had, not really the activities. We started the day by making brown bread anyway which turned out to be really fun. Stepehn and I baked a lovely loaf. Good practice for when we live together.

From there I can’t really remember what happened in what order. I suppose you guys aren’t really interested in a blow-for-blow account of the day. So here is a list of things that happened

How cute am I?

I called him Old Major. Original wah?

Cutes etc.

Before I took the big jump…

Covered in shite checkin’ out Jonothan ;)

Quite beautiful though…
After the bog jump we made our way back to the farm in the tractor (our mode of transport) and had to change. It was horrible. I had brought two pairs of spare socks but not another pair of boxers. TMI - Yeah, I had to take the ones I had on off and wring them out and watch all the brown gunky water just come out of them. Then I had to put them back on. There was no way I was going commando like. Ugh it was horrible.
It was a really fun trip anyway. We got to eat the brown bread we made at the end and then it was back off onto the bus. Surprisingly fun and yet another wonderful way that shows that choosing TY is the best decision I ever made.
